Hey there—I’m Kaanan Tupper. Music’s been my world for over 30 years, whether behind the drums, at the mixing desk, or tucked into a van headed for the next gig. I own Major Appliance Recording in Athens, Georgia—a studio designed to serve the song, the artist, and the moment.

My setup blends analog vibe with digital precision. Acoustic drums, guitars, basses, amps, and keys all feed into Logic Pro and whatever mood the day brings, including mobile recording for artists chasing inspiration outside the studio confines. 

 Artists I’ve worked with along the way include Jeremy Enigk, Sunny Day Real Estate, Country Teasers, A-Frames, Wesley Willis, Rob Magill, Zhoark, Shy Fades, The Intelligence, and other creators who taught me how to listen.  I’ve mixed folk ballads, rap verses, garage freakouts, and metal mayhem alike.

Sometimes I play. Sometimes I produce. Sometimes I just sit quietly and hit record. Now I’m expanding into new sounds—voiceovers, podcasts, music for film and TV, and bringing more of the Athens music scene to the masses.
